Tejas Express Runs Late: Railways To Compensate Passengers For Delay
The Indian Railways will compensate passengers of Lucknow-New Delhi Tejas Express who were on board on Saturday with Rs 250 each. The train got delayed for about two hours in both the directions. Nearly, 451 passengers took the train from Lucknow and 500 boarded the train from New Delhi. “We have sent the link to each of the passengers mobile clicking on which they can claim compensation. Those who do will get compensation,” chief regional manager (CRM), IRCTC, Lucknow, Ashwini Srivastava said.
On Saturday, according to the Times of India: “Tejas started from Lucknow at around 8.55am instead of its scheduled departure at 6.10am and reached New Delhi at around 3.40pm instead of 12.25pm. It departed from New Delhi at around 5.30pm instead of 3.35pm and, said the official, was expected to reach Lucknow at around 11.30pm instead of scheduled 10.05pm.”
