CPM leader kicks pregnant women, loses baby, case registered

A woman in Kozhikode in Kerala was forced an abortion after allegedly kicked in the stomach by CPM leader. Police have arrested seven people in connection with the case.

According to media reports, the woman was seven months pregnant and her husband were attacked by the CPM activists in connection with a land dispute on January 28.

One person has been arrested in the case but the main accused is still absconding. The victim’s family has held protests outside a police station to pressurize the cops to arrest the main culprit.

“The local party workers are coming here daily, asking me to withdraw the complaint against Thamby,” woman’s husband said referring to the CPM leader. “My decision is to fight the case till the end. I have decided to sit in front of the police station demanding justice,” he was quoted as saying by Times Now.
