Sachin Tendulkar sanctions MPLAD funds worth Rs 40 lakh for developing school in Kashmir’s Kupwara

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has sanctioned more than Rs 40 lakh from the MP Local Area Development (MPLAD) funds to develop a school building in Jammu & Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Imperial Educational Institute Drugmulla happens to be the only school in the locality. The school which established in 2007 has 1000 students studying from class one to ten.
The Bharat Ratna awardee requested the concerned authorities to construct a building with 10 class rooms, administrative block, four laboratories, prayer hall and six toilets.
The former cricketer had previously sanctioned funds to construct and upgrade the classrooms of Guru Govind Singh T School in South Mumbai’s Sewri.
