TDP creates ruckus over special category status for Andhra Pradesh

Two days after the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government won the vote of confidence in the lower house of Parliament, the Rajya Sabha proceedings on Monday was adjourned till noon following TDP’s protest over special category status for Andhra Pradesh.
The Upper House proceedings came to a stand still moments after the Day 4 proceedings of the Monsoon Session began in Parliament.
After several failed attempts to trouble the NDA government through Friday’s no-confidence motion, the opposition parties are looking forward to corner the government over several mob-lynching incidents, including the recent one in Rajasthan’s Alwar.
