Lok Sabha to take up National Medical Commission Bill

nobanner

The issue of Deoria shelter home scandal is set to echo in Parliament on the 14th day of monsoon session on Tuesday. Opposition MPs from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), the Samajwadi Party and the CPI-M protested inside the Parliament premises over the issue of shelter home mass rapes in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur and Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria.

If the Opposition ruckus doesn’t force the House to adjourn, several important Bills, including the National Medical Commission Bill (NMCB), 2017 will be taken up for consideration and passage.

While the National Medical Commission Bill will be taken up in the Lok Sabha, The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (Amendment) Bill, 2018 and The Commercial Courts, Commercial Division and Commercial Appellate Division of High Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2018 are scheduled for passage in the Rajya Sabha.

Besides, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MPs continued their protest over the special status demand for Andhra Pradesh.
