As monsoon wreaked havoc in Kerala claiming around 174 lives, the state plunged deeper into misery on Friday with hospitals and medical institutes facing a shortage of oxygen, fuel stations running dry, and water seeping into the shelter homes, officials said.

The deadly deluge dealt a bloody blow by dismantling the daily lives, blowing away the scenic beauty of the state, wreaking its tourism sector, finishing its agriculture sector in thousands of hectares as it caused huge damage to the overall backbone of Kerala.
