YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy stabbed by waiter at Vizag airport

Jagan Mohan Reddy, the YSR Congress Party chief and Andhra Pradesh leader, was stabbed at the Vishakhapatnam airport by an attacker who hasn’t been identified on Thursday. The YSR Congress leader was seen with an injury and blood on his left arm after being stabbed with a sharp metal object.

The attacker claimed he wanted to take a selfie with Jagan Reddy. According to officials, Jagan allowed the youth near him when he requested to take a selfie.

“The youth also asked Jagan if YSRCP will win 160 seats in elections next year. After clicking a selfie he turned around and slashed him on the arm with a blade that is usually used in cockfights. The youth was immediately taken into custody,” an official said.

The initial report said the assailant was employed at the airport canteen, but no official confirmation was immediately available.
