Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said he did not believe the conflict in Ukraine would spiral into a nuclear war but cautioned the United States and Europe that Moscow never again wanted to be dependent on the West. Ukraine is investigating 38 cases of alleged treason against police officials of Mariupol and Kherson. According to Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigation, it is probing officials who ‘aided’ Russia in these cities.
