At least six people were killed and four others sustained injuries after two cars collided on the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway (Samriddhi Mahamarg) on Friday night.

The accident occurred in Jalna district at around 11 PM when a car entered the highway from the wrong side after refuelling and collided with another car going from Nagpur to Mumbai.

Meanwhile in another incident that took place in Karnataka on Friday, a tempo traveller rammed into a parked truck in Haveri district. At least 13 people were killed in the accident, including eight women and two children, news agency PTI reported.

The incident took place near Gundenahalli Cross on the Bengaluru-Pune National Highway. The deceased were identified as Parashuram (45), Bhagya (40), Nagesha (50), Vishalakshi (50), Subhadra Bai (65), Punya (50), Manjula Bai (57), Adarsh (23), Manasa (24), Rupa (40), and Manjula (50), PTI reported.
